Wolseley’s Wasco buys Aircovent
30th July 2017NETHERLANDS: Wolseley’s Dutch HVACR distributor Wasco has announced the acquisition of Rotterdam-based air conditioning and refrigeration accessory supplier Aircovent.
Established in 1994, Aircovent supplies a wide range of installation materials, including tools, chemicals, tube, refrigerants and condensate pumps through its sales office and warehouse in Rotterdam and through a contemporary webshop.
“We have grown enormously in recent years. We want to continue this growth and we found our strategic partner in Wasco,” said Aircovent founder Ron Heuker.”
Wasco was founded in 1970 and acquired by the Wolseley group in 2002. It operates from 34 branches across the Netherlands, with distribution centres in Apeldoorn and Twello. A distributor of Haier air conditioners, last year it launched a dedicated air conditioning and cooling website
“With the acquisition of Aircovent, we will take a next step in our growth ambition in the area of air conditioning and cooling,” commented Wasco general director Herold van den Belt.
Aircovent will continue to operate under its own name.
