Vaillant wins German Sustainability Award
24th November 2023GERMANY: Vaillant has won the German Sustainability Award as a “pioneer of transformation” in the heating, ventilation and air conditioning technology sector.
The Remscheid-based heating technology provider received the award at a special ceremony in Düsseldorf last night, beating 11 competitors, including Trane, Viessmann and Danfoss, to the prize.
The award honours exemplary sustainability achievements in business, municipalities and research. With five competitions, over 800 applicants and around 2,000 guests at the final event, it is the largest award of its kind in Europe. The prize has been awarded annually since 2008 by the German Sustainability Prize Foundation.
This is the third time the company has won the German Sustainability Award. In 2015, the Vaillant Group was named the most sustainable large company and, in 2011, received the German Sustainability Award in the most sustainable product category.
A “very pleased” Vaillant Group CEO, Dr-Ing Norbert Schiedeck, said: “For many years, the Vaillant Group’s strategic focus has been on environmentally friendly heat pump technology. In recent years, we have extensively expanded both our product portfolio and production capacities for heat pumps in all European markets.”
