Turbocor chillers on display at Danfoss HQ

DENMARK: Working chillers equipped with Danfoss’ Turbocor compressors have been put on prominent display at the company’s HQ in Nordborg.

The two Engie chillers, equipped with three large Turbocor compressors, are installed behind a glass wall in the company’s meeting centre. They cooling for the ventilation system and other cooling systems in the main office building.

The smaller Engie chiller delivers 250kW cooling, the large 466kW. Both use the low GWP HFO refrigerant R1234ze.

Replacing an old ammonia-based refrigeration system, the new plant is said to provide three times greater efficiency, saving an estimated 165,000kWh annually.
