Swegon buys UK AHU manufacturer Dalair

SWEDEN/UK: Swegon, the Swedish manufacturer of ventilation and indoor climate products, has  acquired UK air handling unit manufacturer Dalair Ltd.

Founded in 1981 and based in Wednesbury, near Birmingham, Dalair is a family-owned manufacturer of bespoke air handling units, with 150 employees and two additional sales offices in London and Manchester. Net sales in 2021 were £17m.

The move further strengthens Swegon’s presence in the UK following the acquisitions of Ruskin Air Management in 2016 and Waterloo Air Products in 2020.

“With the growing demand of bespoke AHU’s we now take an important step together with Dalair to  complement and broaden Swegon’s offering in the UK and reach a wider customer base,” said Swegon Group CEO Andreas Örje Wellstam.

The closing of the deal is expected to take place next month.
