Strand named president of Danfoss Climate Solutions
21st January 2025DENMARK: Kristian Strand has been named president of Danfoss Climate Solutions. He succeeds Jürgen Fischer who is retiring after 16 years with the company.
Currently serving as divisional president, commercial compressors in Danfoss Climate Solutions, Strand will join the Danfoss Group executive team and take over his new role as of April 1.
Strand joined Danfoss in 2017 after nine years at the Bitzer group in a number of senior roles. He joined Bitzer in 2008 as CEO of its controls company Lodam. In 2015, he moved to become director of Bitzer’s sales transport division and MD of its Finnish transport cooling division Lumikko. He later became director of marketing and business development.
Jürgen Fischer joined Danfoss in 2008 as vice president for industrial automation. Since then, he has held various executive leadership roles within cooling and in January 2020 formed the Climate Solutions Segment.
“I have considered my decision to retire for a while and I’m now looking forward to starting a new chapter being able to pursue active board roles,” Fischer revealed.
“Kristian brings a wealth of experience and strong business results from his previous roles and shares our ambition and passion for the climate solutions business,” commented Danfoss president and CEO Kim Fausing.
“I would like to thank Jürgen for his dedication, strong leadership, and great contribution to Danfoss and Danfoss Climate Solutions over these past 16 years,” he added.
