Sparks takes over from Kirsch at Chemours
3rd October 2019USA: Ed Sparks, president of Chemours’ Chemical Solutions business, has been appointed president of the company’s Fluoroproducts business to replace Paul Kirsch, who resigned today.
Ed Sparks started his career at DuPont working at the New Johnsonville Titanium Technologies manufacturing facility. For over 25 years, he held positions of increasing responsibility across that company in sales, operations, technology, process development, as well as corporate strategy and capital planning. Most recently, as president of Chemours’ Chemical Solutions business, Ed streamlined the organisation’s operations and delivered annual improvements in revenue and margin.
Paul Kirsch took over from Thierry Vanlancker when the latter retired in 2016. He had previously been senior vice president, supply chain and operations at German chemical and consumer goods company Henkel AG. He leaves Chemours to become CEO of 4THBIN, an electronics recycling business he and his brother founded a few years ago.
Chemours says that Sparks and Kirsch will work together this month to ensure a seamless transition.
