Panasonic opens new propane Aquarea production line

UK: Panasonic has opened a new production line at its Plzen factory in the Czech Republic, dedicated to its large-capacity Big Aquarea M Series R290 air-to-water heat pumps.

This €2.6m investment enhances Panasonic’s European manufacturing capacity for heating solutions. Designed and produced entirely in Europe, the Big Aquarea is tailored for centralised heating in multi-family homes and light commercial buildings.

The production complex in the Borská Pole industrial zone in Plzen has been producing Panasonic heat pumps since 2018. It celebrated the production of its first Aquarea propane air-to-water heat pump in July 2023.

The Big Aquarea T-CAP M Series can be integrated with existing water systems such as fan coils, floor heating, or domestic hot water tanks. The series includes units with outputs ranging from 20kW to 30kW, and up to 300kW in cascade.

Panasonic says its new production line is equipped with advanced IoT technologies and AI, ensuring top-quality production and rapid return on investment.
