Lebanon facility celebrates 50m Scrolls

USA: Emerson Climate Technologies’ plant in Lebanon, Missouri, celebrated the production of its 50 millionth Copeland Scroll compressor last month.
Since introducing the technology to the market in 1987, Emerson has sold more than 100 million Scroll compressors worldwide. Global production reached 1 million in 1992 and 100 million in 2012, with Copeland Scrolls now now being produced in nine facilities on three continents.
The Lebanon facility, which employs approximately 900, celebrated its 50 millionth compressor in early September, 21 years after production started at the plant. The facility produces Copeland Scroll compressors for use in residential and light commercial air conditioning systems.
