Keeprite to build new Texas plant

USA: Keeprite Refrigeration is to relocate its Longview, Texas, manufacturing plant to a larger facility in nearby Kilgore.

The company is relocating to a 70.4 acre tract on Kilgore’s Synergy Park. Current plans are said to comprise an initial 470,000ft2 facility with real and personal property investment valued at a minimum of $55m. There are plans to ultimately grow the facility to more than 1 million ft2.

Described as a beacon for technical innovation, the new Keeprite Refrigeration campus is said to be designed not only as a place of work but also as a hub for learning and leisure. It will include a mile-long walking trail within a 10-acre employee green space along with sports and exercise facilities.

The company will break ground on the new facility next month.
