Johnson Controls CEO to step down

IRELAND: Johnson Controls chairman and CEO George R Oliver is to step down from the role he has held since 2017.

Accordingly, the Johnson Controls board has begun a search for Oliver’s replacement with the assistance of a nationally recognised executive search firm. 

Johnson Controls says that Oliver will continue to serve as chairman and CEO until a successor is named and will remain chair of the board once the new CEO is named to allow for a smooth management transition.

George Oliver was previously chairman of global fire and security provider Tyco International when it merged with Johnson Controls in 2016.
