Jean Jacquin RIP

FRANCE: Jean Jacquin, a former president of AREA and long-time former chairman of SNEFFCA, the French association of refrigeration and air conditioning companies, has died at the age of 92.

The news was announced by the French trade magazine RPF on Friday (August 12).

Jacquin chaired SNEFCA from 1985 to 2007 and was president of the European contractors’ group AREA from 2004 to 2007. In 2013, he was presented with the Légion d’honneur, the highest French order of merit. 

He began his career as a sales representative at Frigidaire distributor Confort Berry and was sales manager for the Bonnet company, before forming his own company SA Jaquin in 1957. In 2000, SA Jacquin became part of Axima Refrigeration.
