Hoshizaki consolidates Chinese interests
1st November 2024JAPAN/CHINA: Hoshizaki, the manufacturer of commercial food and beverage refrigeration equipment, is to integrate its development, manufacturing, and sales capabilities in China under one company.
Having established Hoshizaki China Corporation this month, the new company will incorporate its three existing business – Hoshizaki Shanghai Hoshizaki Suzhou and Hoshizaki (China) Holdings.
The restructuring is designed to boost the company’s competitiveness with a view to long-term growth and the ability to address individual customer needs.
Hoshizaki first establishing a sales office in Beijing in 1998, which became the present-day Hoshizaki Shanghai in 2004. The Hoshizaki Suzhou manufacturing plant was established in 2006 and in 2012 it established Hoshizaki (China) Holdings in Shanghai to oversee its China-based operations.
In January of this year, Hoshizaki strengthened its local development capabilities by setting up an R&D centre at Hoshizaki China Holdings in Dalian to respond to rapid changes in the Chinese market and its customers’ needs.
Hoshizaki says that the company will be structured to enable rapid mass-production and delivery of order-made products. It will take as little as one month to develop and deliver products for testing purposes that meet the specifications and price levels restaurants and cafés require and will flexibly incorporate their wishes in response to the results of testing.
This consolidation of development, manufacturing, and sales capabilities will also allow greater streamlining of operations, enabling the new company to improve its price competitiveness.
