German company to offer heat pump rentals

GERMANY: In partnership with LG Electronics, one of Germany’s leading heating installers is looking to accelerate the switch to heat pumps by offering rental systems at a fixed monthly price.

Berlin-based Thermondo is promising to remove and dispose of the old heating system and supply and install a new heat pump for as little as €159 per month. In addition, Thermondo will include a two-year maintenance contract and offer remote diagnosis in the event of faults.

With LG Electronics as launch partner, Thermondo has chosen the LG Therma V heat pump and has targeted around 10,000 installs in 2023.

Thermondo was launched in 2013 and has almost 700 employees across Germany, including over 400 engineers.
