GE may move PTAC production

USA: GE Appliances (GEA) is looking to move its Zoneline air conditioning production from its Loiusville, Kentucky, facility to an alternate GEA site in the US.

The move would allow GEA to return its Supplier Distribution Center (SDC) to Louisville. The SDC was relocated to Shepherdsville, Kentucky, following a fire in 2015.

If the decision proceeds, production of the commercial Zoneline PTAC units would be relocated in December.

GE Appliances was acquired by Chinese manufacturer Haier last year.
