€50m boost for Brno heat pump plant
19th October 2022BELGIUM: Daikin Europe has announced a €50m investment in its heat pump factory in Brno, Czech Republic.
The investment in the Czech Republic will include the construction of an additional factory building and new production lines.
The news follows details this year of an expansion of Daikin’s German heat pump factory in Güglingen, a new €300m factory in Ksawerów, Poland and a boost to production at its factory in Ostend.
“We have always strived to develop and manufacture our products close to the markets we are serving,” said Daikin Europe Heating and Renewables general manager Patrick Crombez. “Today, our residential hydronic heat pumps sold in Europe are 100% designed and made in Europe, making us the leading manufacturer of hydronic heat pumps on the continent.”
The factory expansion will create at least 500 new jobs in the region of Brno, to be filled before 2025, Daikin says.
