Dantherm acquires dehumidifier firm Aerial
5th September 2017GERMANY: Danish HVAC manufacturer Dantherm has acquired German dehumidifier manufacturer Aerial – its fifth acquisition in two years.
Headquartered in Hamburg, Aerial is one of the leading manufacturers of dehumidifiers and building dryers in Europe with 40 employees. Its main customers are in the construction and water damage restoration industry, water management sector and the refrigeration and air conditioning sector.
Aerial was established in 1990 by Rolf Meier, original co-founder of German humidification business Hygromatik GmbH, which he had sold to UK company Spirax Sarco in 1988.
The acquisition of Aerial follows Dantherm’s purchase of UK company Calorex Heat Pumps and Swiss business Schönmann AG in 2016, and Italian HVAC company Master Climate Solutions Group (MCS) and Danish business Water Surveillance this year.
“The acquisition of Aerial further expands our range of dehumidifiers and drying technology to make us a true leader in this industry,” said Dantherm Group CEO Torben Duer. “Germany is an important market for us and we are excited about the opportunities that Aerial provides in terms of market presence in Germany and product offering to existing and new partners and customers in Europe.”
Aerial and Dantherm will continue to operate in the market as two independent brands.
