Daikin set to launch new Sky Air R32s
1st May 2017EUROPE: Daikin is set to introduce three new models running on lower GWP refrigerant R32 to its Sky Air range of small to medium commercial air conditioners.
Expected to be launched this summer, the new Sky Air A-series will feature what is described as a highly efficient swing compressor, designed and manufactured specifically for use with R32. Energy efficiencies are said to reach SEERs up to 7.7
The Sky Air A-series will offer control via a mobile or tablet device using Daikin’s new intelligent tablet controller and Daikin’s cloud service, which allows access to units from any location at any time. Capable of monitoring multiple locations, it connects to all available Daikin indoor units such as the Roundflow and fully flat cassette
Installation and maintenance is also said to be simplified. The units are said to be lighter and more compact than previously, and use a single fan up to 14kW. Pre-charged pipe runs have been extended up to 40m.
To ease service and maintenance, the A-Series features a redesigned front plate which pivots to provide easy access to vital system components. A new seven segment display provides easy error read-out and system settings, while an integrated leak-check function is designed to reduce on-site checks and improve reliability.
“The upcoming new range will showcase our commitment to and unrivalled expertise in the use of R32 refrigerant,” commented Anthony Ysebaert, Daikin Europe’s Sky Air product manager.
