Daikin opens new MEA headquarters
7th August 2019UAE: Daikin Middle East and Africa has opened a new 7,500m2 regional headquarters in Dubai’s Jebel Ali Free Zone in support of its growth plans for the region.
The new facility will be the base of operations for 250 employees and combines a training academy, AHU factory and flagship experience centre. The office also features an array of new technological HVAC innovations including a chiller system, smart VRV system, along with AHU, FCU & BMS systems.
“The opening of this brand-new facility reaffirms our commitment for long-term business expansion, and emphasises to the market that we believe in both the growth potential of the MEA region and vision of the UAE,” said Tuna Gulenc, Daikin MEA’s vice president-sales.
Daikin’s first office was established in the emirate 13 years ago. Since then, the business has grown from US$30m to exceed US$300 to become a fully fledged headquarters with sales, service, logistics and manufacturing operations. Companies have been established in the UAE, KSA and Egypt with a sales network across the MEA region. Daikin MEA now employs more than 400 people from just 10 originally.
