Current DuPont hq will be home to Chemours
27th December 2014USA: DuPont’s proposed Chemours Company spin-off will assume ownership of the current DuPont headquarters building in Wilmington.
The Chemours Company will be the new, publicly-traded global business manufacturing and supplying refrigerants, titanium dioxide, other fluoroproducts and chemical solutions. It will assume ownership of the DuPont Building in Wilmington and its employees will relocate to the building by mid-2015.
According to a company statement, the move will bring Chemours employees together in one location, “enabling them to continue to build their operating model and to establish a unique identity and culture.”
A final decision has not been made with respect to the ultimate headquarters location for Chemours but the move is expected to be effective from July 1, 2015.
The remaining DuPont business will consolidate its corporate headquarters at the company’s Chestnut Run Plaza campus in the Wilmington suburbs of New Castle County. Chestnut Run Plaza is DuPont’s multi-business research facility dedicated to applied technology and customer service.
