Cofely introduces R1234ze chiller
1st August 2014GERMANY: Cofely has become the latest manufacturer to introduce a chiller running on the low GWP HFO refrigerant R1234ze.
The Quantum-G is the latest addition to the Lindau-based company’s established Quantum series and offers capacities up to 1.1MW. Similar to the other Quantum turbo liquid chillers in its range, the Quantum-G is based around a Turbocor oil-less compressor and offers a high degree of energy efficiency, stable and low-noise operations, and electromagnetic compatibility.
R1234ze, which is also used as a blowing agent, is finding increasing acceptance as a low GWP alternative to R134a. British companies Airedale, Star Refrigeration and Klima-Therm have all introduced R1234ze chillers.
