Changes at MTA Deutschland as MD Escher steps down
2nd August 2024GERMANY: MTA Deutschland, the German subsidiary of the Italian refrigeration and air conditioning manufacturer, has announced changes to its management and plans to merge its three German businesses.
Managing director Michael Escher will be leaving the company for personal reasons at the end of the year, after 22 years in the role and almost 30 years with the company.
He will be replaced by Carola Wolters, who has joined the new management team which includes Marco Henning, managing director of parent company Trane Deutschland.
Wolters joins from German industrial company Siempelkamp, where she was head of group marketing and communications. Not new to the sector, Wolters previously spent eight years at GEA heat exchangers. Between 2016 and 2022, she also provided management consultancy services to Trane Germany.
The Italian parent MTA was acquired by Trane Technologies in 2023 from investors Chequers Capital.
Wolters will also oversee current plans to merge Trane Technologies’ German businesses ICS Cool Energy, MTA Deutschland and Rehsler Kühlsysteme.
