Bristol Compressors in $1m expansion
14th April 2015USA: Bristol Compressors International is to invest $1m to expand its main manufacturing plant in Washington County, Virginia.
According to Virginia Governor Terry McAuliffe, who made the announcement today, the investment will immediately bring seasonal workers into full-time roles, and add personnel in the machining, material, quality and assembly areas, creating a total of 110 new jobs.
Bristol Compressors designs and manufactures hermetic reciprocating compressors for residential and light commercial air conditioning, heat pump and refrigeration applications. The company supplies compressors to oems and wholesale distributors on six continents and in more than 60 countries around the world.
“The global air conditioning market is rapidly evolving, and it is critical that Bristol Compressors continues to invest in new products to support these changes,” commented Bristol Compressors CEO Ed Gniewek.
