A-Gas expands into Canada
25th February 2019CANADA: UK refrigerant supplier and reclaimer A-Gas has expanded into Canada.
MD of the new A-Gas Canada is Louise McCann, has been with A-Gas for 14 years, most recently as MD of A-Gas Asia Pacific. The new business director of A-Gas Canada is Jim Flowers who, most recently, was manager of market development for packaged chemicals and refrigerants for Linde Canada.
“A-Gas recognises Canada as a country where we can leverage our skills and expertise from around the globe to develop innovative and sustainable market solutions,” commented Louise McCann. “It is our intention to become a large-scale, long term market participant and we are committed to furthering our investment directly in Canada to enable this. A-Gas already has some strong relationships within Canada, having participated in the reclaim R22 market for several years.”
A native of Canada and past chairman of Canada’s Heating Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Institute (HRAI), Jim Flowers said: “The recent implementation of the HFC allowance system in Canada will bring new challenges and opportunities in the Canadian market for real change, I am excited about the opportunity with A-Gas to make instrumental changes to support this developing market”
