Hitachi and JC to offer building solutions
1st February 2014JAPAN: Following their establishment of a global air conditioning joint venture, Hitachi and Johnson Controls say they will now co-operate on building solutions.
The companies say that the decision has been taken to help the two companies’ customers achieve their goals in enterprise sustainability, the efficient use of energy, water, human and other resources and the application of building and information technologies in data acquisition, analysis and decision-making.
They will initially focus their joint efforts in several projects planned in the USA and Singapore.
Specifically, the two organisations say they are are offering customers “a single-source solution for assessment, development and the management of projects designed to improve enterprise infrastructure, facility efficiency and resource utilisation through the application of converged building and information technologies”.
The collaboration will provide facility management and information technology services from a single team, both on premise and cloud-based, including data centres, distributed assets and building technologies for an efficient workplace.
