Roger Borer retires
17th March 2021UK: Roger Borer, former Institute of Refrigeration treasurer, who spent nearly 50 years in the refrigeration industry, has retired.
After joining Sainsbury’s in 1968, he went on to manage the retailer’s refrigeration requirements, real estate and wider facilities.
He later spent 12 years as honorary treasurer of the Institute of Refrigeration before taking a part-time role as executive officer of the Building Controls Industry Association (BCIA) in 2017.
His position at the BCIA will be filled by George Lee, an experienced trade association executive having previously been CEO at Highways Term Maintenance Association (2017 to 2020) and Road Safety Markings Association (1997 to 2017).
