MP sees Ecodan heat pumps ready for take-off
15th November 2024UK: An installation of Mitsubishi Electric Ecodan heat pumps at a new city district development on a former airfield in the south-west has received a visit from the local MP.
Claire Hazelgrove, Labour MP for the Filton and Bradley Stoke constituency, viewed the Ecodan heat pumps while visiting Brabazon, a major new mixed-use development located on land on the former Filton Airfield, north of Bristol.
Named after the Bristol Brabazon airliner which made its maiden flight from Filton in 1949, the new 354-acre city district will include thousands of new homes and creative workspaces, shops and restaurants, schools, recreational spaces and a new railway station.
YTL Developments is installing Ecodan heat pumps at the Heritage District, a collection of new two, three and four-bedroom homes at Brabazon.
The Heritage District features 100 two, three, and four-bedroom homes, all being rated ‘A’ on their predicted energy performance certificates thanks to solar panels and excellent insulation.
“The new community and homes at Brabazon have a strong focus on energy efficiency, by using the latest in modern technology,” Claire Hazelgrove commented after the visit. “Mitsubishi Electric’s Ecodan heat pumps are providing a renewable heating solution and I’m proud that the standard is being set here in our part of the world,” she added.
