More suppliers increase refrigerant prices
23rd March 2017UK: More refrigerant suppliers across the UK have announced price increases on medium to high GWP refrigerants from April 1.
In addition to recent announcements by Dean & Wood and chemical manufacturer Chemours, other major UK wholesalers including Climate Center, FSW, HRP and Kooltech have all announced price rises on refrigerants of up to 30% from next month.
Climate Centre has advised customers of 30% increases from April 1 on R404A and R23 – its highest GWP refrigerants – and a 20% increase on R134a, R407A, R407C, R407D and R410A.
Wholesaler FSW has also placed 30% increases on refrigerants with GWPs above 2500 from April 1. This includes R23, R404A, R507, R508A, R508B, R422D (ISCEON 29), R422A (ISCEON 79), R434A (RS45) and R428A (RS52). What it calls its mid-range GWP refrigerants, ie those with a GWP between 1500 and 2500, will see price increases of 20%. This includes R134a, R407A, R407C, R410A, R437A (ISCEON 49 Plus), R417A (ISCEON 59), R438A (ISCEON 99), R426A (RS24), R424A (RS44), R442A (RS50) and R453A (RS70).
April 1 will also see Kooltech increase prices on R404A and R507 by 25%. R134a, R4047A, R407C, R407F, R410A, R152A, R32 will see increases of 20%.
