Mitsubishi opens Livingston heat pump training centre
15th May 2024UK: Mitsubishi Electric has opened a new heat pump training centre, capable of training over 1,000 engineers per year, at its factory in Livingston.
The centre was officially opened today (May 15) with key government and industry figures in attendance, including Graeme Day MSP, minister for higher, and further education and Tadashi Fujiwara, the consul general of Japan in Edinburgh.
As well as hands-on training, Mitsubishi Electric is offering virtual reality training opportunities, giving installers a new and innovative way to learn and understand the workings of heat pumps.
The Livingston training centre will also support local colleges and schools in renewable heating training.
To mark the opening of the centre, Mitsubishi Electric is offering free training at the centre over the next three months for installers who wish to complete their part 1, 2 and 3 training in the design and install of Ecodan heat pumps, or who would like to attend a practical, hands-on workshop at the Livingston centre, for all Scottish registered installation companies.
The Livingston Training Centre joins the company’s two other centres in Manchester and Hatfield.
