McLean back as md at Capital Cooling
23rd July 2014UK: Alister McLean has returned to the helm of Edinburgh-based commercial refrigeration equipment manufacturer Capital Cooling, the company he founded 18 years ago.
Alister stepped down from the role of md last August, handing over the reins to operations director James Anderson. However, Alister didn’t entirely hang up his gauges and continued in the role of CEO. The departure of James Anderson now sees Alister back on a full-time basis.
He re-joins at an exciting time for the business as it goes through a period of expansion. Planning permission has been granted for a 25,000ft² extension to the Broxburn hq with construction due to begin in September.
The business is also embarking on a recruitment drive with multiple positions available within the sales, service and engineering departments.
Alister will be working alongside key people within the business to focus on growing existing markets as well as developing new opportunities. He will also be heavily focussed on expanding the existing product range.
“Capital Cooling has always, and will always be a family business focussed on meeting and exceeding the expectations of their customers,” the company said in a statement announcing the move. “It is a key business goal to become known as the industry leader for customer service and Alister will play an integral part in reaching this target.”
