IoR publishes more guides
16th October 2019UK: The Institute of Refrigeration has released three new Service Engineers Section (SES) bulletins, covering such diverse topics as insulation, heat pumps and K65 tube.
Insulation installation guidelines for refrigeration and air conditioning pipework (GPG82) refers specifically to PVC nitrile foam flexible insulation, with common names such as Kaiflex, Armaflex and Union foam. It covers the importance of ensuring that the insulation is correctly sized, installed and maintained to ensure that throughout its life the insulation retains its original properties.
A guide to K65 tube and fittings (GPG85) explains what K65 tube is and the reasons it has been introduced into the refrigeration industry.
Heat pump Q&A (GPG84) seeks to dispel some common myths and explains why heat pumps are becoming a favoured form of heating for the future
The guides are free to members of the Institute of Refrigeration, and £6.00 each to non-members.
