Groll a keynote speaker at Rankine 2020 conference
11th September 2019UK: Professor Eckhard Groll has been confirmed as the first keynote speaker for the Rankine 2020 – Advances in Cooling, Heating and Power Generation conference in Glasgow.
An award-winning international speaker, Eckhard Groll is the William E and Florence E Perry head of mechanical engineering at Purdue University. He is an acclaimed figure in the refrigeration, air conditioning and heat pump industry with research interests in fundamental thermal sciences as applied to advanced energy conversion systems, components, and their working fluids.
His global recognitions include the Ritter von Rittinger International Heat Pump Award, Institute of Refrigeration International Gold Medal in Refrigeration, ACE (American Council on Education) Fellow, ASHRAE Distinguished Lecturer and a Purdue Book of Great Teachers inductee.
Professor Groll said “It’s a great honour to be involved in this conference. Rankine 2020 is a unique event, the first of its kind and it will be exciting to see the flow of ideas between the RACHP and Organic Rankine Cycle sectors.”
The conference takes place at the University of Glasgow from 26 to 29 July 2020.
