Graeme Fox leaves BESA

UK: Graeme Fox, current president and fellow of the IoR, has left his role as director of technical at the Building Engineering Services Association.

Announcing his shock departure on LinkedIn, Fox said: “After a 25-year association with the HVCA, BESA and REFCOM, the last eight years as a member of staff, I have today left the group to pursue other opportunities.”

A time-served air conditioning contractor, Fox joined the technical department of BESA in 2016 as senior mechanical engineer and head of technical at REFCOM, the UK’s leading F-gas certification scheme.

As well as his involvement with the Institute of Refrigeration, Fox was a director of European contractors’ group AREA for 18 years and president from 2010-14. He was also a director of the UK’s Air Conditioning and Refrigeration UK Industry Board (ACRIB) for nine years, four of those as chairman.
