Fox awarded RAC Gold

Graeme Fox wins the RAC Gold Award

UK: Graeme Fox, head of technical at BESA, has won the RAC Gold Award for his outstanding contribution to the air conditioning and refrigeration industry.

The award to Graeme was one of 19 such awards presented to individuals and companies in this afternoon’s online awards event.

The current head of UK F-gas certification body REFCOM, Graeme Fox is a former president of European contractors group AREA and is currently a director of ACRIB and a member of the board of the Institute of Refrigeration. 

A fervent promoter of standards and defender of contractors’ interests, his expertise has been in particular high demand during the coronavirus, appearing in a host of informative webinars. At the same time he has been dealing with government departments, as well as fielding member questions, over Brexit and the F-gas review. 

In other personal awards, Neil Davis, managing director of 3D Facilities Support was awarded the annual Fred Jamieson Award for industry achievement. He was joined on the virtual rostrum by Lisa-Jayne Cook of J&E Hall/IOR, who collected the Diversity Impact Award for her efforts to promote the air conditioning and refrigeration industry to women and young people.

Student of the year

The RAC and IoR National Student of the Year Award went to Luke Haile of Lightfoot Defence. Second place went to Ellie Claire of Wave Refrigeration and third place to Matthew Huckle of Epta.
