Epta’s Geoff Mills to retire

UK: Geoff Mills, commercial director at Epta UK, has announced his retirement after nearly 42 years in the refrigeration industry.

Announcing his retirement on LinkedIn, Geoff Mills said that during his career he had met lots of great people and has been left with lots of memories.

The former Carter Synergy contracts director took over from Epta’s long-serving commercial director John Austin-Davies in 2017.

His career began as a sales engineer at WH O’Gorman in 1982. After eight years with O’Gorman he joined Carter Refrigeration Display in 1990 as a project manager, managing a variety of retail refrigeration projects. Promoted to head the southern projects team in 1993, he was subsequently appointed to the board in July 1999.

After becoming MD of Carter Group subsidiary Carter Planned Maintenance Ltd in 2002, he became contracts manager of Carter Synergy Ltd when Carter Planned Maintenance was merged with Carter Refrigeration & Retail Services in 2007.
