UK:Peter Rimmer, head of employment affairs and skills with B&ES has received a special award for 25 years’ service.

In marking this milestone, president Jim Marner thanked Mr Rimmer for the valuable contribution he had made, and continued to make “in his unassuming, yet always thorough manner” to the work of B&ES.

A graduate of St Catherine’s College, Oxford, Mr Rimmer joined the staff of what was then the Heating and Ventilating Contractors’ Association on 1 June 1990, following employment in the nuclear industry.

Commenting on his quarter-century in building engineering services, Mr Rimmer said, ”It has been a privilege to serve the Association’s members, both collectively and individually, through the work I have led in connection with developing our National Agreement with Unite the union, and I look forward to continuing to engage with the increasingly important skills agenda over the coming years.”
