AC unit the prize in charity competition

UK: Sussex-based air conditioning contractor Sub-Cool FM is offering a £3,000 air conditioning unit in a competition to raise funds for a local charity.

Crawley Open House helps homeless and disadvantaged men, women, couples and young people by providing high support hostels and a day centre open every day of the year. Sadly, the threat of major cuts loom over the charity and locals are fighting to keep this lifeline going.

Sub-Cool FM is looking to raise £20,000 towards the ongoing costs of Crawley Open House by offering a top of the range air conditioning unit in a simple, free-to-enter competition.

“Crawley Open House is a fantastic local charity supporting the homeless and other people suffering from social exclusion through unemployment, loneliness, discrimination etc,” said Sub-Cool FM MD Jacob Swei. “However, West Sussex County Council are currently in a consultation period over the future funding of the charity due to looming cuts. The charity needs all the help it can get to continue to provide its much needed services.

“There is no obligation to donate in order to participate in the competition, but we’d love it if you did,” explained Jacob Swei. “The prize is a flagship, Mitsubishi electric, Daikin or Panasonic unit – because we only install the best. Christmas is coming and its a great time to think of others and give a little. Give a penny, give a pound, give a minute – every gesture makes a difference.”

A winner will be drawn from all correct entries on 21st December.

Further details of how to enter and to donate can be found here.
