Practical Refrigeration Training Centre
19th November 2013Founded by experienced refrigeration engineers back in 1990, PRTC has maintained its reputation for providing quality training for newcomers to the industry, young people and those wishing to increase their knowledge and qualifications. Importantly, PRTC only employs tutors and assessors who are experienced refrigeration and air conditioning industry engineers as the company insists that nothing can be better than guidance from those who have experienced many situations out in the field.
PRTC prides itself on not just providing theory training, but practical work on the centre’s fully working refrigeration and air conditioning systems for either installation service or maintenance work.
Over the years, new courses have been developed to keep up with an ever changing industry. These include hydrocarbon refrigerants, electrical, and more. The PRTC website lists all current courses and a list of course dates at the company’s training centre in Burnley. However, external courses are generally available on most dates.
PRTC boasts an impressive list of clients large and small, from the UK and overseas that benefit from PRTC’s training both at Burnley and in the client’s own premises.
The courses are modular, allowing candidates to space their learning over a period of time to suit themselves and their employers. Courses vary from a one day heads-up introductory session through to PRTC’s own ten-day course and onto the formal qualification of QCF. The company can also work with clients to tailor specific courses to suit their needs.
PRTC is also proud of its great successes in getting trainees through to the RAC National Student Of The Year with some reaching third place, second place and highly commended.
