Trane HT heat pump for process applications
19th November 2024BELGIUM: The new RTSF HT high-temperature water-to-water heat pump from Trane is said to be capable of delivering hot water up to 110°C.
Designed to meet the demands of industrial and commercial applications, Trane says that the RTSF HT marks a significant step forward in decarbonising high-temperature process heating, which still relies heavily on fossil fuel boiler technology.
The RTSF HT is powered by Trane’s proprietary screw compressor technology and features R1233zd(E) refrigerant. This combination is said to achieve a COP of up to 4.6 under typical operating conditions.
Just 930 mm wide, the unit’s compact footprint makes it suitable for applications requiring a high capacity – up to 380 kW – while optimising space and reducing installation costs.
It is equipped with the Trane Tracer Symbio 800 controller and tested in Trane’s state-of-the-art laboratory in Epinal, France.
“The new CITY RTSF HT units extend our decarbonisation efforts into industrial process heating, complementing our portfolio of solutions for space and comfort heating,” said Erik van Oossanen, product management leader for Trane in Europe, Middle East and Africa. “Many industries heat and cool within the same process, often simultaneously. This practice causes large thermal inefficiencies.”
The RTSF HT is backed by a comprehensive sales and service network across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Australia, and New Zealand.
