Panasonic launches 20hp CO2 units in Europe
24th January 2024UK: Panasonic is to roll out its 20hp CO2 condensing unit across Europe, joining its existing range of 2, 4 and 10hp units.
These units can provide operating temperatures from +5ºC down to -35ºC for a wide range of applications including medium temperature and low temperature display cases, walk-in cold stores, blast chillers, freezers and other process cooling applications across a wide range of sectors.
Featuring two of Panasonic’s own two-stage inverter controlled rotary compressors, the units can operate in ambient temperatures from as low as -20ºC and as high as +45ºC.
The units offer a high degree of flexibility with extended pipe runs of up to 100m and a small compact footprint of just 1.06m2.
Features include a night-time low noise operation and energy-saving mode.
The units can operate on a number of control options including those from RDM, Carel, Eliwell and Danfoss.
Having first introduced its 2hp unit in 2017, Panasonic has been gradually extending the range in Europe, adding 4hp and 10hp units. In Japan, the company already has 30hp, 40hp and 80hp units as well as a 15hp model.
Panasonic offers free CO2 training and access to refrigeration software tools via its Pro-Club website. Installers can also access commissioning tools, which enables the selection of refrigeration capacity, expansion valve, pipework sizing and the ability to calculate the required refrigerant charge.
