Mitsubishi Electric debuts R290 Ecodan

GERMANY: Mitsubishi Electric has developed an R290 version of its Ecodan monobloc air-to-water heat pump.

Being debuted at this week’s ISH exhibition in Frankfurt, the Mitsubishi PUZ-WZ unit is just one in a sea of heat pumps from dozens of manufacturers at this year’s show specifically developed for the low GWP A3 flammable refrigerant.

The Ecodan PUZ-WZ with power inverter will be available in heating capacities of 5, 6 and 8kW, providing flow temperatures of up to 75°C on demand at ambient temperatures as low as -15°C. Application range is said to be down to -25°C.
