Emerson extends Discus lll compressor range

USA: Emerson has expanded its Copeland Discus III compressor line with new 4DA/4DE and 6DU/6DV/6DZ models.

The 4DA/4DE models are Copeland’s smallest capacity four-cylinder Discus compressors and are targeted at foodservice and food retail applications such as condensing units, supermarket racks, environmental chambers and process chillers.

The 6DU/6DV/6DZ models are Copeland’s largest capacity six-cylinder Discus compressors and are intended for use in the foodservice and food retail space as well as scientific plants and laboratories. These models increase the six-cylinder capacity by more than 20%, offering users a significant capacity increase without increasing footprint.

With CoreSense technology, Discus compressors are equipped with oil pressure, motor and discharge temperature protection as well as providing fault information and LEDs for clear visual indication of faults.
