Daikin redesigns Perfera R32 air conditioner
27th March 2024BELGIUM: Daikin Europe has announced a next generation All Seasons Perfera R32 air conditioner with redesigned indoor and outdoor units, making them easy to install and use.
Daikin claims best-in-class energy performance with SEERs of up to 9.47 and a SCOP of up to 5.20. Sound levels are down to 19dBA.
Air flows have been optimised to ensure all round comfort, whether in cooling or heating mode. A new double flap enables the Comfort Plus function, a precise angle which narrows the airflow path, increasing air velocity. This pushes air upwards, redirecting cold air away from room occupants to eliminate draughts and ensure even coverage into corners in winter and summer.
A 3D airflow option can be selected which combines vertical and horizontal auto-swing for large spaces.
The two-area motion detector checks adjacent areas and directs the air away from the inhabitants. When an empty room is detected, it adjusts the system automatically to the energy saving mode. It also has a special heat boost function which, Daikin says, enables it to reach the set temperature 14% earlier than conventional systems. A night set mode is also included.
The new range has been extended to provide additional flexibility in configuration, currently offering six capacities from 1.5kW up to 5kW. The new 5kW class has been developed to fit in the same standard units as smaller capacities.
Settings can be changed or scheduled via the supplied infrared control or Daikin’s Onecta App. Voice activated control using Google Assistant or Alexa is also possible to provide intuitive control over settings and allow users to monitor energy consumption online.
The integrated Daikin flash streamer technology – titanium apatite deodorising filter and silver allergen filter – remove dust, allergens and odours. A new feature in the All Seasons Perfera is the washable static filter, treated with an active ionpure substance to capture, reduce and remove bacteria and viruses.
