Daikin launches high temp heat pump
22nd October 2024UK: Daikin has announced the launch of its CZ-HT high temperature air-to-water inverter heat pump on R454C.
First mentioned in September, the CZ-HT is said to provide a high temperature and low carbon solution, achieving 70°C heating water temperature in all weather conditions.
The CZ-HT also works in high ∆T conditions allowing the supply of heating water to different heating applications in the installation space.
Available in nine sizes ranging from 19-70kW, the heat pump employs Daikin’s inverter scroll compressors with vapour injection, Daikin-designed EC fans and copper tube and aluminium fin heat exchanger coil.
The CZ-HT is suitable for multiple applications such as comfort heating, domestic hot water and comfort cooling in all commercial and larger scale residential settings, such as offices, gyms, hotels, hospitals and student accommodation.
Additionally, the CZ-HT is ideal for both new and retrofit applications and is a direct replacement for commercial fossil fuel boilers.
It also benefits from the use of R454C, an A2L refrigerant with a GWP of 148.
All units in the range can be configured in reduced noise mode.
The CZ-HT control logic allows flexibility of operation to cover both comfort and domestic hot water production, including an anti-legionella control function for the external storage tank.
The integrated defrost logic ensures that multiple units have sequenced defrost cycles, ensuring no more than one unit in a group will defrost at a time. Up to four units can be optimised.
