Carrier launches new Aquaforce chillers

FRANCE: Carrier’s new AquaForce 30XB and 30XBP chillers update its well-established 30XA range with the latest technologies and increased efficiencies.

The new range of fixed-speed screw air-cooled chillers, covers cooling capacities from 250kW to 1700kW. It is available in three levels of efficiency to match requirements. Initially available with R134a, units designed exclusively for HFO R1234ze will be available later this year.

Building on experience from the established AquaForce system, the 30XB range features Carrier’s 06T twin screw compressor  and Novation aluminium microchannel heat exchangers with Super Enviro-shield coatings. Also included is Carrier’s sixth generation Flying Bird fans, flooded shell-and-tube evaporator with new copper tube design for low pressure drops and Touch Pilot colour touch-screen control.

The premium version AquaForce 30XBP includes Greenspeed EC fans and additional heat exchange surface in order to deliver significant performance improvements at both full load and part load (SEER12/7 up to 4.5 and an SEPR12/7 up to 6.3).

“Beyond the 30XA legacy range with proven performance, the 30XB features leading technologies to anticipate tomorrow’s challenges and provide high seasonal efficiency,” said William Doll, Carrier’s screw chiller product manager.

With four acoustic comfort levels, the AquaForce 30XB is said to be capable of meeting the most demanding noise requirements.
