Airedale announces 1MW CDU

UK: Airedale by Modine is to launch a 1MW coolant distribution unit (CDU) in response to increasing demand for liquid and hybrid cooling solutions in data centres.

The new unit will be manufactured in the US and Europe and will be suitable for both colocation and hyperscale data centre providers who are seeking to manage higher-density IT heat loads.

The CDU will deliver up to 1MW of cooling capacity based on ASHRAE W2 or W3 facility water temperatures. It features N+1 pump redundancy.

Developed with complete, intelligent cooling systems in mind, the CDU’s integrated controls communicates with the site building management system and system controls. Up to 8 CDUs can be networked together.
