Lincoln Coop gets Smart with CO2
13th November 2018UK: Dean & Wood has supplied two Cubo2 Smart CO2 condensing units to a new Coop forecourt food store in Lincoln.
As part of a £990,000 redevelopment of its Gibbet Nook food site, Lincoln Coop Society was looking for an environmentally friendly, low carbon footprint, refrigeration solution.
The Cubo2 Smart condensing units were said to have been chosen by JGR Building Services Ltd due to the product quality and technical support offering that Dean & Wood Ltd had to offer.
The two Cubo2 Smart condensing units provide cooling for five cabinets and a cold room at the site. As well as the condensing units, Dean & Wood also supplied the evaporator, Carel controls and install materials.
“The installation, although a new concept for us, was straightforward,” said JGR Building Services MD Jason Wood. “This was greatly assisted by attending the Cubo2 Smart training course at Cool Concerns training facility along with the technical support of Beijer Ref’s Ross McGinty and Coolconcerns’ Steve Benton.
“This is a good solution for smaller retail outlets such as petrol filling stations where the number of cabinets and coldrooms works well with the plant. Commissioning was a learning curve for us, but once we got an understanding of the systems, we feel that they work well,” he added.
