LG air conditioners make net zero home
11th February 2021USA: LG air conditioning units are incorporated in the New American Remodel (TNAR), one of the energy efficient net zero show homes of the 2021 International Builders’ Show virtual experience.
The home has achieved the US National Green Building Standard Emerald certification, Energy Star building certification, and net zero status from the US Green Building Council.
The six-bedroom New American Remodel on 3260 Lake Shore Drive, Orlando, was originally built in 1973 and is said to draw lineage from famous architect Frank Lloyd Wright.
The home boasts two LG Multi V S 5-ton heat recovery outdoor units. They are connected to several LG vertical air handler units, which feature LG inverter technology and offer discrete and flexible installation. Integrated with LG’s own controls solutions, the units are controlled via wall-mount or with a smartphone using the LG ThinQ app.
Key to the home’s environmental sustainability are rooftop installations of high-efficiency LG NeON 2 60-cell solar panels. A number of LG home appliances are also featured including laundry units and TVs.
Tours of the home are offered virtually, with thousands of building professionals from around the world expected to learn how to incorporate countless ideas into their projects.
