Chemours’ R513A is San Jose playmaker

USA: Chemours lower GWP refrigerant R513A has been employed in Trane chillers at the home of US National Hockey League team San Jose Sharks.

Marketed by Chemours as Opteon XP10, R513A is used for both ice making and building HVAC systems from Trane Technologies at the Shark’s SAP Center in San Jose, California. R513A is a non-flammable A1 blend of R134a and R1234yf with a GWP of around 630. 

SAP Center is a world-class sports and entertainment venue, also hosting San Jose Barracuda (AHL) games, figure skating competitions and exhibitions, and family shows on ice throughout the year.
